National Hispanic Heritage Month

National Hispanic Heritage Month is observed annually from September 15 – October 15. This is a special time highlighting contributions made by Latin Americans across the United States.

It's also a great time to celebrate the contributions of Hispanics in organ, eye, and tissue donation. Why is this so important? Last year, more than 4,800 Hispanics were saved through donation. Myths and misconceptions continue to be a major barrier for potential registrants of minority decent.

Spend some time during National Hispanic Heritage Month learning more about the realities of donation. Check out our FactsFAQ, and Minority Donation pages for great information.

You or someone you know can make your contribution during this month by choosing to register as an organ, eye, or tissue donor. What better way to honor you family than leaving a legacy of the gift of life?

Register today and share your decision with family and friends!
